Always enjoy the Freccia Mocheni. Lovely treat after a great mountain walk
Incredible service and some of the best local fare I have ever had. Spent many years in the Alto Adige region as my family is from here and their Polenta + Wild Game plate is the best I’ve had anywhere. Definitely stop by for at least a pint but if you’re hungry do the rabbit, red stag, polenta, and mushroom dish and get a strüdel for dessert. Also the bartender makes a variety of delicious grappas from cherry to pine cone. Try them all you won’t regret it. Lastly, you’ll know as soon as you get here but the views are unbeatable. A must-stop for anyone visiting from out of town.
Good location/stop if you are travelling in this vicinity. Stayed there one night during our MTB tour and enjoyed the pasta! Rooms are simple but clean. And the blankets someone here was moaning about are the typical blankets you find in so many favorable hotels/hostels. They keep you warm and are ok. If you expect luxury and are picky go elsewhere. Very friendly owner! Chat with him about "Bersntol"
A truly local place! it was a great experience to try the owners specialty, the handmade “Burbizkropfen”, a kind of pasta filled with local cheese and leek. Since we came outside of normal dinner times, the owner packed it for us together with some butter and fresh sage so we could eat it at home, it was very tasty! We also tried pine cone syrup, which tastes exactly like forests smell.
Stopped there for coffee and a local treccia mochena. All very good and well prepared
NEVER pass here without eating or buying their homemade “Kropfen”, a local ravioli. We had coffee and cakes here after a long mountain hike. And we got the ravioli to cook ourselves at the campsite. The lady was so kind to give us some fresh sage and provided extensive cooking instructions that we obviously diligently followed! Fantastic homemade dish!!
